Since Taiki hasn't done it, I will. This is the generic "read these rules" post. Please make sure to read them all. Ignorance is not an excuse.

Harassment
Since we have had problems with this in the past, Taiki made a direct order concerning this, harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited. This does not include just on the board. If you contact another forum member on an IM, an email, or so on, and harass them, you will get punished for it here.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Flaming another member's post
• Insulting other forum members for any reason
• Sending another forum member harassing or threatening emails or instant messages
• Sending another forum member harassing or threatening private messages on the forum
• Giving another forum member, on any medium, unwanted sexual advances

Conduct
There are certain rules you need to follow while being active on the forum. A lot of these are basic. If you have any experience on other forums, these won't be shocking--not that they would be in any case. I'd like to keep the rules as low as possible.

1. Be respectful. Remember, we're all friends here. There's no need to be rude. See harassment section for more details.
2. Don't double post. Use the edit link located on each of your posts.
3. Don't spam. Even in the "Off Topic" section, try to use some restraint.
4. No links of any kind to porn. This is a family-friendly forum. If any site has porn, even if it's just ads, don't post it here.
5. No links of any kind to illegal files. These files include, but aren't limited to, ROM's, ISO images of any kind, warez, hacking tools, viruses, spyware, etc.
6. Don't swear. We'd prefer that you wouldn't swear at all. Young kids come to this forum, so mind them when you post. If you slip, just quietly edit your post.

If you are caught breaking any of the rules, the punishment will depend on reputation, history, and the severity of the act.

Terms Glossary
This section is for ignorant or non-English speaking people who don't understand some slang used in the thread.

• Hacking: Using programming to gain access to unauthorized permissions or information.
• ISO: A dumped file from a CD or DVD.
  
• Link: A hyper-linked text or image that sends you to another page or site.
• Malware: A program used to increase ads and sometimes gain access to information stored on a personal computer through known exploits in the operating system. While not always malicious, they eat up RAM and cause glitches.
• ROM: ROM stands for Read-Only Memory. They're used for dumping cartridge-based games into a computer file.
• Spyware: See malware.
• Virus: A self-replicating, most of the time malicious, computer program that infects other files with its data, corrupting them.
• Warez: An illegal, pirated copy of a software product.
