Lillian Fanart

I've been fooling around in photoshop trying to figure out how it works.
T'was an epic conflict. Sadly, the clock did not survive...
Side-note: In case anyone wonders, the picture on teh nightstand was from the gallery. I kinda yoinked it to practice importing pictures (sorry taiki...); point being that I didn't draw that one (you can tell cuz it looks a lot better).

x3 Photoshop is fun. Which version do you have?

It takes a while to get used to. I used to have 6.0 and played with it, then my dad upgraded to 7.0 a while ago. The best way to learn how to use it is playing around. As a tip, play around a lot with the pen tool. It's my best friend when I'm at school in CG class without my tablet. It works well for Cell-shading too. I know a lot of tips, since I've been using this for at least two years (Maybe 3? I dunno xD). I know just about what every tool does, and if I don't, then I don't use it a lot. xP

Seriously speaking, I know how to use more tools then my Computer Graphics Teacher does.

As for the drawing, work on perspective. Worst enemy besides the GIF monster. Perspective sucks and should really just go die in a hole, but then everything would look weird. D>

I've got photoshop 7.0 that i totally didn't pirate and anybody who says other wise is a dirty, dirty liar.

cough cough.

i only just found out about the pen tool. i'm embarassed to say how long it took me to figure out that you could right click it and have it draw over your path... i will try to figure out more things about it though, and thanks for the advice!

and yeah, i hate how hard it is to draw things in perspective. its even worse for me because i've got wierd, messed up eyes (myleft eye is rather lazy, my right eye sees much worse, and i'm going colorblind in both) so i can't always tell if my perspective is anywhere close to what it should be -__-

and yeah, cg teachers... reminds me of how i know more about computer programming than my cs teacher. but i can't let her know or it'll hurt my average. wasn't there a point in time where knowing the most guarenteed an A? >.<

lol I already commented on this picture in your e-mail.

I used photoshop 7 for like 4 years and then upgraded to CS3 recently because that's the version I have to use in my classes.
