I have recently been getting more into music. I heard a song on the radio that surprised me. It's called "I Kissed a Girl." I was pleasantly surprised by it because it was the first time I heard a song hinting at sexual curisoity on the radio.
It's actually a remake, though. It originally came out in the 90's by a different artist. That was even more surprising. What wasn't surprising is finding out that it was banned almost as soon as it came out. Maybe we've made some progress after all?
I prefer the original over the remake :P Also, I thought I had recognized Katy Perry, she was a Christian singer at one point. I found out that she changed her name and covered this song in a desperate attempt to make a new image for her (I guess she didn't like the Christian music scene?). She's a good singer, I've heard her live performances though and I'm not too sure..sorry if I seem like a ranter :P
