Secret Kiss

Chapter 1

Micheal sighed and put his drum sticks on his desk as he walked by it and plopped down onto his bed. He just got done practicing by himself, they were supposed to all practice together that day but everyone had something to do. He glanced over to his curtained window and pushed the red cloth to the side, the sunlight poured in on him making him squint slightly.

After staring at the blinding sun for a few moments he let out another sigh that bore into his chest and let the curtain shield him from the sun once more and he rolled over on to his side and stared at the wall across the room that was littered with posters and other objects standing in front of it like his drum set. He closed his eyes and thought, 'I hate this feeling...' the feeling he was talking about was none other than...Kai.

Love was a horrible burden wasnt it? Many people around him knew this, he wanted to ask for help from the ones who were actually going out, but wouldnt he be judged? He loved Kai, Kai, someone of the same gender of him, it was wrong right? Well, he was sure it was, after all, it hurt him deeply

A sudden rapid knocking on the front door made his eyes shoot open. He sat up pulling himself to his feet, hed have to get that, his parents were at work, they were always at work. So he began to walk down the stairs, he nearly fell down them hearing Kais voice.it was Kai. 'I want to get the door...no I dont...' he sighed. 'Im being ridiculous Kais my friend, I shouldnt act like this.' he ran down the rest of the steps.

Micheal opened the door and Kai burst in shutting the door. "OMK! The fan girls almost killed me!" he gasped sliding down the door and looked up at his friend. "Why did you answer right away?" he huffed and Micheal shrugged. "Do you want something to drink?" Micheal offered and Kai nodded holding out his hand for Micheal to help him up.

Micheal gulped but non the less took his hand and let his friend up. "Your hands sweaty, what were you doing?" Kai questioned and Micheal looked at him. "I was practicing what else?" Kai nodded. "Oh right, sorry man I shouldve brought my guitar we couldve practiced." he began to walk to the kitchen. "So you actually meant to come over here?"

"Of course, why not? Youre my friend, I wanted to hang out since everyone else was busy." Kai opened the fridge, it was normal for him to do this, the two went over to each others house enough to get their own water bottles out of the fridge.

Micheal laughed slightly, "Oh I just thought you might have been chased here by the fan girls, and use me as cover." he joked and Kai smiled holding the water bottle to his lips and mumbled, "Security blanket," before letting the water slip into his mouth.

Micheal smiled and shrugged sitting on one of the bar stools and laid his head in his hand and watched Kai drink his water. "Dude youre soaked." Micheal said and Kai looked at him in confusion not letting the bottle leave his mouth. Micheal chuckled and went over to his sink grabbing a wash cloth and walked back to Kai who shook his head and got another water bottle.

"Too thirsty." he gasped drinking some more water and Micheal rolled his eyes. Micheal took the water bottle away from Kais mouth for a second and rubbed the cloth on his face. Kai whined in protest reaching for his bottle. "Youre acting like a baby right now." Micheal stated and handed him the bottle after he finished. Kai grumbled something dark and began chugging the water again.

Micheal sighed again and continued whipping the sweat off Kais arms. Micheal smiled to himself, he always tried too hard to get away from those girls, he should just tell them to leave him alone or something...then again he does that any way right?

Micheal then blinked realizing how close he was to Kai, and what he was doing, it was like they were...together...Kai lifted an eyebrow hearing the wash cloth smack onto the floor and looked at Micheal. "What happened?" Micheal looked at him and shook his head and kneeled over to pick up the wash cloth. "My hand slipped, I guess they hurt a little from practice.: Micheal lied. "Oh, okay...but Micheal your face is kind of red, are you sure youre okay?"

"Yeah just a little hot from practice." he lied again, 'Stop making me lie, it hurts...Kai' he thought to himself closing his eyes a little. Kai stared at his friend seeing he was truly distressed at something. He thought it was his imagination at first but, Micheal had been acting very strange...Well Kai was his friend so if he was hot then he'd help him like he was right now!!

"Micheal, here, are you thirsty?" Micheal opened his eyes seeing Kai offering the water bottle he was drinking out of to him. "Uh, no Im fine for now Kai, thank yo-" Micheal blushed. "No really here." Kai held his arm behind Micheal and pressed the bottle to Micheals surprised lips. Micheal let the water rush in his face heating up rather quickly.

This was the same...the same as kissing him right? No...not really, Kais lips would be smoother and...Kai pulled the water bottle back and smiled. "Better?" he tilted his head to the side slightly. Micheal stared at him in surprise for awhile before biting his lip nervously. "Y-you have sweat on your neck." he said quickly and began whipping the sweat off Kais neck.

Kai looked at his friend in question, maybe thats not what he needed? Kai shrugged and took another drink of the water. Micheal sighed and rubbed the back of Kais neck before pulling the cloth back. "There thats all Im whipping away." he announced. "Okay, wanna go watch TV?" Kai questioned and Micheal shrugged. "eh sure."

Kai nodded and headed to the living room Micheal followed throwing the wash cloth onto the counter. Kai sat down near the end of the couch and picked up the remote and held it out to Micheal who shook his head. "It doesnt matter to me. You go ahead." Kai shrugged and pulled up the guide. Micheal sat on a chair away from Kai and watched as Kai stared at the screen.

"Did you see anything you wanted to watch?" he asked after a few moments. "Not really." Micheal admitted. "Same here, that sucks, wanna watch a DVD?" Kai slapped the remote next to him. "Sure. What do you have in mind?" Micheal stood heading to the DVD rack. "Eh, got any anime?" Kai suggested. "You know I do. Which anime?" Kai shrugged and so did Micheal and he just pulled out a random anime movie.

"Spirited Away okay?" he asked and Kai nodded. "More than okay, I forgot you had that." Micheal nodded and pushed the disk into the DVD player. After it started playing Micheal grabbed the DVD remote and sat down on the chair and Kai eyed him.

"Dude!" Kai cried out suddenly as the menu came up. "What?" Micheal looked at him in panic. "You hate me!" Micheals eyes widened. "What!? Howd you get that idea?" Micheal cried out.
"Youre sitting all the way over there, why cant you sit with me on the couch?" Kai complained. "Oh...er, its not because I hate you, I just didnt think of it." Micheal lied again. "Then come over here, I feel like Im at home alone dude, I came here to hang out."

Micheal stood and sat on the couch next to Kai who smiled. "Okay play the movie." Micheal rolled his eyes. "Youre such a brat when no one else is around you know that?" he pressed play and Kai shrugged again and turned his attention to the screen as the previews began.

Micheal stared at the TV and glanced back to Kai who seemed to be entranced into the movie already and Micheal looked back quickly. After a few more moments he stretched yawning after. "You tired?" Kai asked giving a quick glance. "Hm? Ah, no." Micheal looked at him. "Okay, if you start to get tired tell me and Ill leave." Kai said without looking at him. Micheals eyes widened, Kai'll leave if hes tired? But he was tired right now! He didnt have to let him know though did he? No, he didnt, he didnt want Kai to leave so he just wouldnt tell him.

Micheal turned his attention back to the movie. After about 30 minutes in he could feel himself fading in and out of consciousness, why was he so tired any ways? Then again he usually did take a nap after drum practice didnt he? Well he really didnt today, Micheal groaned inwardly, thinking was making him more tired! Micheal blinked a few times only to find it blurred his vision. He blinked again trying to get rid of it without succeeding, so he held them closed for a few moments.

When he opened his eyes to see the screen was black with falling white words. Not only that it wasnt going the right wayoh he was laying down.Oh no had he fallen asleep? Did Kai leave?! Then a soft sucking noise was heard above him then a light breath followed. Micheal looked up to see Kai, it was Kai who had also fallen asleep sitting up.

Micheal blinked then realized he was laying down and his head was on Kais lap. Kais hand was on Micheals head like hed been petting him or something. "K-Kai." he stuttered slightly starting to sit up. Kai grumbled and opened his eyes looked down at his friend. "Oh, youre awake, is the movie over?" he yawned. "Uh, yeah.why am I on your lap?" he blushed. "Hm? Oh you fell asleep so I let you use my lap as a pillow." he shrugged

'Oh, so it really meant nothing' Micheal sat up completely and looked down. Kai looked at his friend in concern. "Hey Micheal?" he questioned. Micheal looked up, "Yeah?" Kai leaned towards his friend more to emphasize, "Im worried, youve been acting really weird lately when I come over to hang out. Is something bothering you?" Micheals eyes widened slightly and looked down. He could never tell Kai that he liked him! What was he going to do?

"I...well uhm...Kai...I have a friend, they're not to close but...well theyre in a mix of sorts and I dont know how to help them." he looked down. "Oh I see whats the problem? Ill try to help if I can." Kai offered and Micheal looked at him his face flushed. "Well, my friend...well has another friend that well they like...but theyre the same gender and theyre pretty sure their friend doesnt like them back..." Micheal looked down and hopped he wasnt being obvious.

"Oh youre talking about Taiki, huh? I noticed that she acts kind of awkward around Alex too. But honestly you should tell her that she should tell Alex, I think theirs a good chance shed like her back." he smiled brightly and Micheal stared at him in disbelief. He was oblivious wasnt he? Micheal looked down, "Uhm, it wasnt Taiki, actually, Im not too close to her...but actually it was a guy friend." he admitted and Kai looked at him.

"Really? Oh well I think it should go the same for them." Kai shrugged. "But Kai, theyre both guys, isnt a bit harder for guys to be together? Wouldnt you be disgusted that your frien-" he began and Kai frowned. "Im surprised youd say that Micheal. Of course I wouldnt and neither should you. I mean if you told me you liked me right now Id-" Kai paused for a moment and Micheal stared at him in question. "Kai?"

"Id accept you as that. So you should tell your friend that. If the person he likes doesnt accept him for what he is, hes not really his friend at all." Kai finished. Micheal stared at him for awhile before letting his gaze drift down. "Youre right, Im not a very good support am I?" A gentle pat on his back made him look up again. "Youre doing fine Micheal. Im glad that I have you as a friend." he grinned.

"Kai...you always act so cold around people...but I like it when you act like this, like youre actually feeling for than something cold." Micheal said and Kai lifted an eyebrow. "if I show those fan girls emotion it might be the death of them." he joked. 'Micheal I only act like this around you, you know...' Kai thought to himself.

"Hey are you spending the night?" Micheal asked and Kai nodded. "If its okay with you. I dont want to go home now, it looks a bit late. Besides you dont know when those fan girls will attack" Micheal nodded. "You really dont like girls do you? And yeah its alright. Do you need to use the phone?" Kai nodded. "I know where it is.: with that he stood up and went to the phone in the kitchen. "and yes I do hate girls." he called in.

Micheal smiled briefly then took a deep breath and thought about what Kai had said, but what he said about accepting him...it was a lie, he paused, he knew right then, hed never be able to tell Kai how he felt. He could hear Kai talking to his mother, it was a good thing that Kai and he were basically the same size, Kai would need a change of clothes probably.

Micheal laid back down on the couch and heard the phone hang up. Kai walked back in and sat on the chair. "Hey Micheal?" he looked at his friend. "Yeah?" Micheal looked at him through black and white locks. "When are you coming back to school?" Micheal sat up and bit his lip in thought. "I dont know, Im still thinking about getting a job, were still struggling." he sighed.

"I see...I dont think you should have to get a job though." Kai looked at his friend. "Im not comfortable with that thought." he admitted. "It should be fine for me, Im not weak looking." he said and Kai shrugged. "I still dont like it." Micheal went silent for a moment. He actually already went and talked to someone about a job at a restaurant. But he didnt want to tell Kai, hed be worried.

"So what do you want to do right now?" he asked and Micheal shrugged. "I dont know, how about video games?" Kai nodded. alright "Im up for that." he scooted off the chair onto the floor towards the gaming system and Micheal followed him.

"Ugh, Im so tired" Micheal fell over onto Kai who continued to try to press the button. "I said turn!" Kai said drowsily at the Mario cart game. "Give it up Kai we crashed, Im tired, your tired, our team is nothing but defeat able." Micheal dropped his controller. "Alright fine, lets go to bed then." Micheal grumbled in response his eye already closed.

"Come on I dont want to drag you up the steps. It might be painful." Kai sighed turning the game system off. It was no use Micheal was completely out of it, hed probably fall down the first stair. "Micheal snap out of it, you gotta get to bed." Kai ordered. "Nooooo...just carry me." Micheal whined and Kai paused and watched as Micheal already let sleep claim him.

Kai smiled slightly, he was asleep now. He pushed some of the hair out of his band mates face, hed have to carry him, true enough. Itd be hard though, seeing as how they were both the same age and practically the same size, Micheal was just a little smaller than he was. Kai stood up pulling Micheal with him and wrapped his arms around his neck.

Soon he was carrying him up the stairs on his way to Micheals room. It wasnt awkward to him, he knew he liked Miheal, he had absolutely no problem with it either. Kais eyes widened slightly as he felt his hand touch one of Micheals ribs. He must not be eating too much lately, his family was having some money issues.

Micheal suddenly mumbled something and snuggled into Kais neck and wrapped his legs around his waist, Kai absent mindedly held his hand under Micheal for support. Soon they were in Micheals room, Kai shut the door behind them. Kai then walked over to the bed dodging various objects on the floor and set Micheal on the bed.

Kai smiled and laid next to him wrapping his arms around Micheals waist. Kai was so thankful that Micheal was a heavy sleeper. Kai slowly began to study Micheals features like hed done many times before, he actually did it earlier when Micheal had fallen asleep. Micheal then rolled over onto his back, Kai could see he had a better view now and smiled again.

Kai sighed running his fingers through the other boys hair, so Micheal didnt particularly like gay people...at least thats what he got from their conversation earlier... 'he thought it was disgusting' he thought bitterly. So he and Micheal could never be? Kai closed his eyes, so all he would get were these secret kisses when Micheal slept?

Kai opened his eyes and stared at Micheal once more before lowering his face to Micheals...

I kind of thought baack to when Haruka said Hey did anyone notice there are 4 girls and 4 guys I totally call Sameal! So Haruka called Sameal.Haruka=Sameal Nikki=Marcus, and Taiki didnt like any of them and Alex couldnt choose between Micheal and Kai, the two odd ones out >.> (sorry but theres no thought for me paring Taiki and Alex together.) so theres my thoughts on that, hope you liked.
