WOW I am officaly suprised there is not a thread about Simoun.
Simoun is about 12 young priestesses who live in a world where every one is born female and choose there sex when they turn 17. I wish I lived in that world but anyway. well I'm afraid if I keep talking about it I'll ruin it for the rest of you who haven't seen it.

I watched the anime on the tail end of the summer. I defintely enjoyed it all the way through.
Spoiler
The ending definitely left me in some unexplainable funk for a few days. It had something to do with how the whole Neviril/Aeru thing was resolved. The ghostly images of them dancing in the ship at the end hit me pretty hard.
Hell yeah! Simoun is in my... probably top five anime. EVER. It's just that epic. The soundtrack is practically the only music I can write to.
Anyone doing Simoun cosplay? I'm working on an Anubituf costume. (I'm a guy.) My friend is going to be Waporif. (he, too, is a guy. Although I guess he's going to have to be a guy with boobs. ) I'll post pictures here when I finish the costume!

I wouldn't say that the last episode destroyed it. I just feel that it was unsettling. The part of me that loves stories couldn't have been much happier but any part of me that actually feels anything... yeah... not so happy.
I dunno, I kind of liked the last episode. It was a beautiful bittersweet ending, like a message saying "For good or for ill, life goes on." And a lot of the characters got rather happy endings--Morinas and Waporif; Anubituf and Guragief; Limone and Dominura, even (by most interpretations) Aaeru and Neviril. Sure there's another war coming, but anything else would simply be a cop-out. As long as the helical motor technology is exclusive to Simulacrum, the other countries are going to want to take over Simulacrum. Floe becoming a guy was kind of unexpected, though. XD
I do have one question for any Simoun fans out there. What were Guragief's and Anubituf's names when they were pseudofemale? Applying the -f suffix in reverse gives Guragie and Anubitu, which are both really silly names and sound nothing like anyone else's names in the show.
