I go down the stairs in the morning, go outside and get to my car and realize I forgot my keys. I go back to my room... forget what I forgot and go back down. When I get down the stairs, I remember that I forgot my keys. I go back up, and forget once again. Usually on the next pass I get it right.

I have done this countless times.

Use post-its. They are the lifeblood of the memory-deprived.

Edit-
If you guys don't call them Post-its... they are the little yellow sticky pieces of paper that you write notes on.

Wow... You're pretty forgetful, aren't you? I tend to forget my keys a lot. That and a pencil. I always forget to bring a pencil to school. ><

I'm still fairly good at remembering facts, but I'm absolutely horrible and remembering events. Customers love it when I walk in the back to get them something and then I come back out just to say: "What was I looking for again?"

Also, thank you for reminding me to put a new pencil in my laptop case. That could've gone poorly, the other two ran out already.

Just today, the microwave/oven powerstrip went out (I noticed a pattern, and can now avoid further incidents) again, and so the microwave needed its clock reset. Well, when I turned the powerstrip back on, I put the microwave on to finish and reset the oven clock. Then, I walked away. Later, I was heating something up in the microwave, noting that I needed to set its clock still. Later, I was re-heating that same thing in the microwave, noting that I needed to set its clock still. I went and ate most of my dinner and got full. Then, a couple hours later when I wasn't so full, I put the rest in the microwave. Now, this time, I had my wits about me and set the microwave's clock correct. Then I went to the other room.

Then I facepalmed and went back into the kitchen and turned on the microwave.
