Yay! I finally got around to seeing the new Trek movie today and I gotta say it was pretty dern good! I was a bit skeptical because I'm a die-hard Voyager fan, but I guess I can stand a couple hours of Kirk and crew. He's no Janeway, but...*shrugs* eh.
I was confused about something though...looking at some of the movies' advertising (I'm looking at YOU Kellog's and Burger King!), I expected there to be Klingons in the movie. Lo and Behold...NO KLINGONS! Even the word 'Klingon" was only mention about two or three times in the whole movie!!!
Anywho, if you've seen it, what did you think? If you haven't, well what are you waiting for!?! If you don't even want to see it...why are you even reading this in the first place?

the idea they want to "Make Star Trek cool again" is cool but contains a huge logic flaw... mostly the use of the word "again" star trek has been many thing but it's nevvvvvvvvvver been cool... least not in the Hollywood Summer Blockbuster sense that wants to grab the attention of the ADD adrenaline junkie masses every summer action movie is trying to grab a piece of.
sure it was cool in the sense it was a classic Scifi series but this movie just seems from the stand point of someone on the outside as less "Stak Trek" and more "Star Trek presented by Hot Topic"

Silly human. Your logic is flawed. Read on... ""Star Trek" went where no Trekkie film has gone before, earning $72.5 million in its first weekend in theaters." FIRST WEEKEND! It's close to breaking some record or something. I think that this movie is considered a blockbuster. And what do you mean it was never cool!?! Blasphemy I say! Heracy!
