Disney music...

I think that like me your childhood is connected with the Disney movies .... And I'm sure that you all remember the songs that were in.  wink

I remember that the first Disney movie I saw was Bambi ... It is the one which has touched me the most.

I don't really have a favorite one... only some movies that I like less than the others.

When I see the ... crap ... yes, I think we can say that... well the actual movies that they make for today's children no ... I think we were born in the good period. But there is some recent Disney films that are good like the latest "Tinkerbell", I liked it.

(Even if it was for ten years old children... But I am just a 18 years old child... biggrin ).

Anyways, the fact is that there is something I love : listenning to Disney music in a foreign langage.

For example, I took the Hunchback of Notre Dame (because it happens in France aww ), the court of miracles. I choose 4 langages

French (well, because I am French)
English (what else ?)
Dutch ( For the one who live in Netherlands)
Russian (I love the Russian world)

Vous êtes prêts ? On commence en Français ... First in French.

Universal langage...

For someone... (but the sound is not really good)

Now in Russian ...

I almost forgot that there were a Norvegian among us ...

Now I realise that being translator is a hell of a job...

I post a last one in Russian because it is my favorite biggrin
the voice of Pocahontas in Russian is wonderful !!!

I have never heard such a moving "niet".
The actress who makes the voice of Pocahontas is Teona Valentinovna Dolnikova, she has been a vocal in the group SLOT ... What a coincidence !!

What about you guys ?

have always loved disney songs, but for some reason I haven't seen many of the movies, par example pochahontas (atleast I don't think so) and les miserables (I have seen the musical, though)

one of my favorite songs from disney movies is without doubt 'I just can't wait to be king' from the Lion King movie:D

The ones I prefer are the "devil" ones. Like "Be prepared" in the Lion KIng or "Inferno" in the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

wow another exaple of how bad the dutch voiceover is ... at least in the hunchback of the notre dame ...... it brings back memories though ... i was in germany last week and i noticed german voice overs are pretty good ... well for anime at least not shure about american/english cartoons

I am not really that fond of voiceovers, because sometimes they can be real bad and stuff, while the original is good. Some voiceovers can be really good, though:D

Yeah. I always prefer reading and watching stuff in the original language, that is if I know/understand the language

not a good plan i wont get it at all .....

oooh i saw Alice in woderland yesterday (the new one) and well since its a disney movie ill talk about it here^^
it was a bit predictable but still nice and crazy though i think some things are inconsisten with the books ... (it has a different plot than the books but some things wherent matching) ..... i seem to have a hard time remembering the movie.... it feels like i was sleeping, quite shure i saw the whole thing though. hmmm i cant say mutch about the music cuz i cant remember it ......... there was no obvious singing like in the movies mentioned above.....
cool costumes though (exept the hatter)

Oh I saw it too. accordong to me, Alice was poorly played. The actress was not moving enough....in my opinion. It is not a hell of a film but still a good one.

For me, the French translation of anime is always the badest.
