No. They're not really lesbians, it was all just for show. They used it as their gimmick to sell their music. It really didn't last very long, though.

well actually....they've been going since about 2003 and might be releasing a new CD sometime this year....so that's a decent track record for a band with an artificial image and a change in producers

Yeah. considering they already have 2 CDs (in english anyways) and they do have a huge reputation.

They also have a best of album.  So I guess they've been around awhile.

Aaaaah Tatu ! They made me love russian lyrics ^^ Obez'yanka-Nol is my favorite. I like the rythme and their voices.

i am a majoraly straight guy that listens to t.A.T.u. i don't care what anyone says they make great music. (i say majoraly because i am accept that somebody can fall in love with anybody, no matter race or sex, i just happen to go for girls more than guys)

Lol, Obezyanka-Nol was horrible. Not because of the tune or anything, but because of the translation. "Money Zero"? I mean, come on.

What cracks me up is that they actually were going to try and make a movie about two lesbians about... half a year ago, I think to up their popularity. But, Yulias a mom, and Lena has a special 'Male Friend". Last I heard, Yulia was pregnant and ready to pop again, but that could just be a rumor.

As for their music, I liked 200km/h in the wrong lane and everything before that. Their newest CD was HORRIBLE (Though I will admit, the Russian version of it had a few songs I liked). The Russian song Kosmos was quite lovely and so was the Russian version of "We Shout".

I think the only American song I liked off of that CD was "Sacrifice" =/.

However, I remember spending an entire summer just jamming to 200km/h in the wrong lane and LOVING Nas Nye Dagoniat and "I've lost my mind".

Anyway, my analysis is, they were better as Pseudo Lesbians. =D
