Shizuru and Natsuki and Mai-Hime do hook up. They admit their feelings right before... Well, I don't want to spoil anything, but yeah.

Anyway, there is one I can think up right away: Priss and Linna from Bubblegum Crisis 2040. They had all that romantic build-up between them and then...Priss started dating Leon for no reason. Major let-down.

So..." etc etc. Just like the other part when Natsuki is staying with Shizuru after her fight with Nao, Natsuki tells her that she loves her and Shizuru turns around and says "Your love and my love are not the same."

Kano Miyazawa & Aya Sawada from Kare Kano.

Kano does become Aya's editor. They suit each other also I felt bad for Aya as she never got any love in the main story. As she was my favourite character I wanted to see her more than just her being overworked, I saw plenty of that during the main story.

Kano also admired Aya in the main story sequence but it seemed to be more for her writing.

Yeah, that woulda been cute, but wasn't there an age difference between them? Mikoto was in middle school wasn't she? And is her name Mikoto or Motoko? Cuz everyone says Motoko, but both subtitled versions I have say Mikoto. >_>

Anyways, I think Haruka and Yukino shoulda hooked up as well. I think I should start a thread for this anime since there's so much to say. xD

But I do know of another Motoko. Motoko and Suu from Love Hina should have totally become a couple, too. They had more than enough undertones. oo;

I think that Akari and Ichan shoulda gotten together from Battle Athletes Victory. I know that Kris was also into Akari, but I liked Ichan better. lol I did like in the end though when Kris and Ichan finally meet and they fight over Akari. =3

Another couple I think should be together is Set-chan and Konoko from Negima. They're really close and all and Set-chan (setsuna) says she wants to be with Konoko, but they don't ever officially become a couple. >_>

Weel, about KonoSetsu

In chapter41 of the manga (don't know more than it is in chapter41)

Spoiler: Konoka and Setsuna are in the filmvillage in kyoto, then Konoka decides that they should do a little mascerade (my speling = bad) so she dresses up in a Kimono and forces Set-chan to dress up as a swords man. Then it comes some group of schoolgirls (not from Mahora) and says something like "Can we take a picture of you?", then Set-chan and Konoka do this cute pose with eachother. A little later in the chapter, Set-chan is protecting Konoka nad gets a arrow in her shoulder. She falls of the roof and Konoka jumps after her and does some magic, Setsuna then lifts Konoka up like a Ojou-sama and ask if they are going to go to Kono-chans falimy home now.

Maybe, but this is just me speaking nonsense at 1:40am, maybe she has a sweetheart outside of Astrea hill. A penfriend? Have they ever met? And after I've had a Hellsing marathon via internet, I must say that Integra and Celes would make another good couple :D And Integra hugs Celes in the OVA! (If you look at Sir. Integras personality, she isn't the huggy type...)

I don't fantizize too much about yuri (is that the good word?) myself. Well i have nothing against it but my mind is rather simple : when it's not said out loud i just can't read it ^^
Buttttt !!! I admit i always though Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury would have make the perfect couple. I really don't see how this has begun to haunt me, but it's there.
When I watched Fate Stay Night, i really enjoyed how Rin seemed interesting in Saber too. The two of them are so beautiful ... If they joined their strengh, no one could have stopped them.

Okay.... In the Pokemon fandom, pairings are known as "Ships" (short for "relationships"). Each Ship has a unique name, which is usually related to something the two characters involved have in common.

Appeal Shipping is the belief/support of a romantic relationship between the characters Dawn and Zoey (the two girls in my avatar picture).

These pairing terms are just confusing. Why don't people just say what they mean? Not everyone knows this jargon.

Well, pretty much everyone in the Pokemon fandom understands them... I use the terms out of habit. ^^; I mean, if you're really into it, and get into a lot of debates (I don't think any anime fandom has more romantic debates than Pokemon) it becomes a lot easier to say something like "I'm an AppealShipper" than to say "I support Dawn and Zoey as a couple".

It may be silly, but every fandom has its quirks.
