That's nice, but vague advice. I only truly learned how to control lighting tonight, anyway. You said to work on my materials, but what ones specifically?
pretty much all of them. like make the wall material tiled more so it looks more like a wall texture. the wooden materials need to be more realistic for where it comes from and all that.
i remember learning lighting for the first time...god i hated those times but seeing as how i keep switching my render engine, im always having to learn new ones
you did. trust me, the sword and table have nice detail, ive been doing 3d for the better part of 8 years now and most of its self taught. one thing you need to keep in mind is that the lighting makes the scene. look at the drawing i posted on here.
That looks like ass. I did better with crystal graphics topaz in 1994!

Wow Natalie's mean XD I don't have cool advice to give as i know nothing about 3d art but you seem to have work well. Keep it up, practicing will erase the flaws of your art ... or something like that ^^
I don't have a clue what the problem with the walls from the first post are...my room walls look the 'xact same but blue...
And as for the shiney wooden floor, that's pretty much how shiney they can get! *had her room entirely redone once, including wood floor getting glossed*
Something seems a bit off about the room one; it seems like the walls might be too high? I'm not sure, but I would think a couch would take up more of the wall's height than it seems to there, or if it were a high ceiling, the room would probably be much larger...
Those points covered, I love this stuff! Great job! ^_^
