this is a generally handy thread to have....these two things are usually cause for problems.
and on that note! ^-^; can avatars not be .gifs? well, I know they can be in .gif format, but I tried to make a "flash" .gif and....not so much with the flashing.

I haven't seen any rules about Avatar pixel size and file size, also I would like to know signature rules too. In most forums there are limits for these things, so I thought it would be handy to know these things before I go out drawing/designing avatars/signatures.
Well isn't there like a bandwith limit you have on the site? The only way I believe you don't have to worry about bandwith is if you have a server, but then your server will get full sooner or later. :P
