I know a lot of you are still in high school, but for college students and such who have roommates, what's your opinions?
Points up for discussion are : Should you be roommates with your bestfriend? How close of friends should you be with your roommates? What should be off limits?
For me, I have to have 3 roommates just to be able to some what afford living in LA. I've never lived with people I didn't know before so I wasn't really sure how this sort of thing worked. Like, do you share everything or do you only use what's yours? I've come to the conclusion that rooming with your best friend can be a bad idea since like a lot of people say, you can end up fighting and hating each other. I find it easier to be simple friends with them so that you'll get along, but not close to were you'd take things personal or fight over stupid things. Like, it's not good to get too comfortable with them cuz that leads to assuming to you can or can't do with their stuff which will end up in fights. I tend to like not living with my good friends, that way if I get tired of my roommates, I can leave and go hang with my friends. I dunno, this stuff has been on my mind because it's been over a month and a half and me and my roommates are the only ones I know of that haven't fought about anything. My friends all have had lots of fights with their roommates. Maybe I just got lucky?

Let me speak from my own experience with this. You should, at the very least, know your roommates before moving in with them. Otherwise, they could be doing anything when you're gone.
I had a roommate that used my stuff all the time and I hated it. He hate my food, used my shampoo, used my towels, and other...personal items. It was more than annoying, he was invading my personal space. I had to confront him with it.That wasn't fun.
I think if you're going to live with anyone you don't know or barely know, you'll need a lock for your bedroom. They'll steal your stuff otherwise. I hate saying it, but it's true.
I know that you should know them first, but I live in student housing where they pick the roommates for you, so I didn't have much choice. They're all really cool though and I'm the youngest one which is weird. Maybe that's why I get along with them, cuz they're not all right out of high school. And all the girls at my school that are right out of high school are annoying and still act like they are in high school and always think everyone is talking about them. Like, if I start talking to the girl next to me quietly, they freak out and ask me why I'm talking about them when I'm talking about anime or something! It happens all the time in my sketching and color theory classes. D: I don't even know them, why would I talk about them? X_x

Exactly! They don't even do anything interesting enough to talk about. They just think they're still in high school and gossip is still the funnest thing to do.

life is like sex if you dont sit back and enjoy the ride it'll be over before you know it
Since I'm still in HS, I've never LIVED with a person before, but I have room mated because I go on choir competitions all the time. Let me tell you, I room-mated with my best friend and it was the worst Idea ever. Especially when she is a bit homophobic. (But that wasn't a huge problem, we've shared a bed before.) The problem was that when you're so close to a person, fights are more common. And when you start to see that person 24/7 for a week, you get so sick and tired of her that, uhg. It was hell.
But, the next week at school, we were fine! XD
