Okay, so I watched the 13 episodes of this show and then when watching an AMV of it on Youtube, I saw scenes that weren't in any of the episodes. So I checked up on that and found out there were OVAs of it as well. So I downloaded one and I'm so confused. All the younger students are going on a trip to France and a bunch of the characters look different and stuff. What's up with that? And how many OVAs are there of this show?

There are essentially two seasons of Maria-sama Ga Miteru. There's the first season called "Maria-sama Ga Miteru" and there's the second season of the series named "Maria-sama ga Miteru ~Haru~ " You're probably seeing clips from that season.
The OVA of Maria-sama happens more or less immediately after the season season of Maria-sama. There are Five episodes of this OVA. The final OVA was just recently released.
Seriously, if I don't get to see Yumi and Sachiko kiss sometime soon I'm going to go mmmad! I mean the romance in this series is so thich you couldn't cut it with a katana and it's been going on for three seasons now, how are they able to hold out like that!?
