'Allo! *waves*

'Allo!  Firstly, I absolutely hate introductions, because I invariably say way too much or not nearly enough.  That said, if I do the former, feel free to slap me; if I do the latter, feel free to slap me and then ask me any questions you may have ^^;;

Um, well... I'm Liz, I'm 20 and not quite resigned to the fact that I'm not  - and never will again be - a teenager.  I like cats and knitting, which go nicely hand in hand.  Often, my aunt's cats will end up hopelessly tangled in my knitting projects, which is why I don't finish them too often.  I have more half-finished scarves, socks, and blankets than I'd care to count.

I don't remember how I found this webcomic, to be honest.  I bookmark a LOT of webcomics for those days when I have the time and energy to read them (like at the beginning of school semesters, such as now), and I haven't been able to get to this one until now.  Loving it so far though, I must say.

I've never really joined a webcomic forum, though, which is kind of odd, considering I read a LOT of them.  But this one seems to have a relatively non-threatening-looking forum, so I figured I'd give it a shot.  Some are so huge and intimidating I'd never try and squeeze myself in.

Um, well... I've probably done the too-much thing again, but oh well.  D:

If you've got any questions, feel free to ask.

Hi! Firstly, i shall not slap you, and welcome!

Second, since your avatar is L, i'm guessing you read death note, if not, oops.

Third, what other anime do you like? (if you don't, oops again ^^;;;)

Yes, I do indeed read Death Note!  It's funny, actually.  I read the manga of both Death Note and Bleach loooooong before any of my friends, and I attempted to get them interested in it, but they would have none of it!  Then, last spring, practically EVERYONE I KNOW decided all of a sudden that they should watch Death Note and Bleach anime, and they were like "OMG LIZ YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS IT IS SO GOOD!" And I wanted to hurt people... Uh, but yeah, I haven't read it in a while and need to actually finish it.  Heh.

As for other anime, unfortunately I don't watch a heck of a lot, and what I do watch is pretty mainstream.  I've seen (and adore) Outlaw Star, Fruits Basket, Yu Yu Hakusho (yes, I am a 12-year-old boy on the inside XD), Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, and most recently Vandread.  More than anything, I read manga, and I tend to be a bit of a manga purist.  I'm one of those people that when books are made into movies, I sit in the theatre watching them and complaining the whole time, so I tend to also favor manga over anime.  Manga is also a lot easier to transport than anime, and I can bring it anywhere.  Manga I've read include: Baroque, Bleach, Death Note, Claire de Lune, DNAngel, Hunter x Hunter, Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle (but only a little), Hana Kimi (which I still cannot believe has so many volumes), XXXHolic (but only a little), and my absolute favoritest manga ever, FAKE.  If you have not read it, you should.  There's also an OVA but it's kind of lame.  The only reason I bought it was because I am obsessed with the series and Seki Tomokazu does one of the characters' voices and he is teh smex.

EDIT: Thank you, Nobody!  I hope I will!

Hey there and welcome to the forums. I also enjoy manga a lot. I like different genres in relation to anime to manga. Most mangas I enjoy are more horror or mystery oriented. I usually enjoy more anime that's not so mainstream, as I'm scared by screaming fanboys and girls. *shudders*

Anyways, enjoy your stay here!

'Allo thar Graves!

What did I dream of being as a child?  Hmmm... do I remember?  Lemme think... I would say, more than anything else, probably an actress.  I took a lot of dance and music and acting classes when I was younger (and my mom could afford it), and I would perform for my family at holidays and stuff, so I feel like without knowing it, I probably wanted to be an actress.  More than likely a stage actress.  Then in high school, because of my very distinctive and apparently expressive voice, and not-so-actress appearance (I can be honest with myself here), I switched to wanting to be a voice actress.  The dream is still kind of there, as a sort of miraculous perfect-career, but I don't see myself heading that way.  I'll probably end up a dusty librarian or historian or archivist since my obsession with history has led me to be a major in history with a concentration in medieval studies.  Either that or I'd love to own a cabaret.  I even know what I'd name it.  The Blue Note.  So wow, tangent much, Liz?  Sorry, I kind of got off-track... hope I answered your question though...

Also, thank you, Mika!  Typically, I would get into anime and manga before they became popular, and it's just my bad luck that they became mainstream.  When before I could hardly find an English-speaking person who had even HEARD of something I read, now I have to fight through forums of fangirls and fanboys in order to find someone even semi-literate to have a somewhat intelligent conversation with about it.  Meh.  Fancrazedness ruins everything.

'Allo Schlaf!

I like a lot of different music styles, really.  Pretty much everything except country... for some reason I really don't like it.  But stuff like classic rock, pop-rock, j-rock, j-pop, grunge, classical, folk, electronic, even rap and grime I like, though it generally depends on the band and the song.  If I like a band or a song, then it doesn't matter to me what genre it comes from, so long as I like it.  There's probably about two countryish artists out there I can handle (mainly Neko Case), but as a genre I don't like it much.  If that makes sense =.=

ahahaha, I bought the first couple volumes of Hana Kimi, too, then a while later, my friend told me how much there was of it and how much it would cost. (response was something close to ohmagawd!)
Totally unfair.

hehe, this is the first webcomic forum I joined, too...Once I read up to current, I was like "NEED MOAR!" so I stormed the forums by force. I lost and surrenderred, so here I am.

Anywaaaaays: Welcome welcomes! ^_^ Glad to have ya' with us!

Hi! I'm glad that you decided to join the forum and think that it's non-threatening. haha

I know what you mean about anime though! I remember I first found Naruto when there were only 50 japanese episodes and I bought it off of ebay and showed my friends. They weren't interested, but then a year later when it was all crazy here in the US for it they tried to get me into it even though I had been for a long time. D: Though I have yet to see anything past the 50 episodes that I bought way back when. >_>;
