So, it's well known to most people that there is a giant battle going on between scientologists and others. For those who don't know, Scientology is baisically a religion created by a science fiction writer/ psychologist named L R Hubbert as an experiment to see if he could create a religion, get world wide followers and make money off of it. The beginning of Scientology was when he published a book on brainwashing and how it is done. From there, he wrote another book with is what Scientology is based off of compeltely.

Schientology is believed to be more of a cult then a religion. You have to pay a fee to get in, because they convince yo uthat you are clinically depressed and they can help you. After that, they keep asking for money, and people keep giving it their all. After a while, people tend to join an 'Org' in which they do work for Scientology for a very small unfair wage.

In an Org, people are treated cruely and much like slaves. If you can't pay money or if you do something wrong, they punish you. By this time, most people are brainwashed so much that they believe the punishment is a good thing and helps them to improve themselves. Infact, some people write books about their experiences in punishment and 'how far they have come'.

Punishments consist of taking away their wages, taking away their food and sometmies, even depriving people of sleep. Hard labor is also involved. The second to last punishment is where everyone in the Religion or Cult (whichever you would perfer) is not allowed to socialize with the person being punished. By this time, the person is so depressed and bankrupt, that they usually comit suicide. The final punishment is intitled "ENEMY" in which the person is kicked out of Scientology and it is actually encouraged to hurt or even kill the person. Though, Suing is encouraged as well so that they may Sue the person out of the little money they have left to donate to the church.

When Scientologists are in this cult for so long, they reach a level called Clear. At this point, the members go insane if they have not done so before. When they reach the level of Clear, they are revealed the secret of Scientology.

"Long ago, before man, there was an evil alien overlord named Xenu who thought his planet was overly populated, so he took a bunch of the alien civilians and brought them to earth i nships. There, he dropped them in volcanoes so that they could die. Their souls then flew up in attempts to be reborn, but Xenu had giant soul catchers in the sky and caught the souls transporting them to a place where the souls were brainwashed to believe something entirely untrue. Finally, after many years, they were released to roam the earth, confused. When man finally came into existance, the alien souls found bodies they could attatch to and attatched themselves to men (and women). The alien souls became known as 'Body Thetans' and they are the reason we feel emotion. Because they are completely confused and we feel their pain."

By this time, scientologists are so brainwashed that hey will believe anything.

WHOA!!! i thought they were just a bunch of harmless crazy ppl ....
but if it gets ppl to suicide its dagerous. did that writer guy think up all the punnishment stuff cuz if he did hes hmmmmm.... evil ( i dont like the word evil... buts its the best i can come up with).

A cult is a group of people that you can join, but you cant get out without punishment. Sorta like a gang, only these people are hard core.

Anonymous is a group of people against Scientology and trying to put a stop against it. I don't like them though because of their tactics. Like, they prank call Scientology hotlines and stuff, but some of them say some pretty bad crap to the people who pick up or just like mind play them, then laugh and hang up. Lots of people in Anon completely forget that people in Scientology are brainwashed and not bad, unless you get one of them heads.

I also hate them because when Harry Potter, the Order Of The Phoenix came out, they like were screaming in borders "VOLDAMORT KILLS SNAPE!" Thus, I hate them =]

Anyway, yeah, Scientology is obviously a cult. I knew when I first heard about it that it was. I mean, look how crazy people get after they join? Tom Cruise was crazy before joining, but Scientology amplified his insanity a great deal. At least before he could look like a beneficial part of society.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Scientology needs to be shut down before more people get hurt or killed.

Also, Anonymous is more than a bunch of "pranksters." They are an internet gang. A member of the group says that do more than just prank call people. They've had people beaten up or even killed before. Sometimes for no reason at all. This guy was in a protection program because he left and they're trying to kill him for leaving. Anonymous is just as dangerous as Scientology.

I don't see how Anonymous is just as dangerous as Scientology... Scientology is a well-organized, highly secretive, *extremely* well-funded cult with massive amounts of clout and the will to use it. Anonymous is a rag-tag, disorganized bunch of /b/tards. Now, I agree with you that their sense of "humor" is tasteless at best and downright offensive at worst, and the things that they do can cross the line... but they're certainly not as dangerous.

Abolidoth: It's dangerous because by joining Anon, you're putting yourself in danger. Scientologists sometimes go extreme and harm people who are against them. So, if you expose yourself by being part of a group...well, put the peices together =@

Lol, naw. =] The people in Annon seem very friendly to one another. Many of my friends are in it. Though, I think a bunch are in it just to look cool. =_=; They seem like idiots to me.

The whole thing was basically an Anonymous in-joke; once they got word that this station was trying to do this shock-you-mentary, they began feeding them false information (like the bogus bit about bombing sports stadiums, among pretty much every other thing in the video.) Some of the things mentioned in the report actually happened, but didn't necessarily happen under Anonymous' banner.

In other words, it's inconclusive evidence... Anonymous' moral status will have to be decided by other means. But getting back on-topic, Scientology's moral status is inarguably evil.

There are documented cases of people coming up dead when they try and leave the Church of Scientology. Germany has banned any and all members from their country. Because their laws state that no Fascist group my reside in it's borders. Nobody they are the Same group. Anonymous that is taking on the CoS is the Hacker Group. while I do not like what they have done in the past they are by far the lesser of the 2 evils. Dianetics beware of that word for if you go into anything with that word it is CoS. L Ron Hubbard was also quoted that he wanted to start a religon to make money. I have read up on these people. While normally I am against Genocide the top 5 teirs of this Cult need to be wiped from the face of the earth and anything that they are involved in. They make the Nazis look like Girl Scouts.

 Agreed. I belive the wuote was "If you want to make a penny, sue someone. If you want to make millions, start your own religion". Or something of the sorts.

almost nobody in anon is really a hacker. "Most" of them are actually just racist, caucasian, sexist, teenage males sitting around a computer. I happen to be part of anon. Just that I only fit about three of those things. The protests are fun, you get to spend time with friends, and you get to listen to funky music! I have nothing better to do anyway.
