Tales of the past is a trilogy and if the movies were as bland as the name I wouldn't bother posting about it.

But! as it turns out the movies are pretty good and I thought they were worth a mention

Tales of the Past is filmed in World of Warcraft and uses alot of the official lore
as a backdrop

Tales of the Past - This is your story

Runtime - 15 minutes

A lil introduction. it sets up the events of the next two a bit
No voice acting at all but the subtitles didn't bother me
You're not missing a ton if you don't see this one
but I still recommend seeing it once

Tales of the Past II

Runtime - 45 minutes

Now we get to the meat of the story
Voice acting is good and it moves well
you MUST see this one before the finale
or you won't have any idea whats goin on

Tales of the Past III

Runtime - 89 minutes

If you have to end a series this is the way to do it
This last chapter is beautiful to look at interesting to watch
and long! look at that runtime! thing is not one bit is the least boring
or makes you want to skip it
The special effects have been cranked up to 11
and all the voice acting is pretty good

the best review was by Macheath of <Oblivious> Films "oh my god... OH MY GOD! it's as if martin falch was machinimating directly to me! it's like he knows me! I feel like as if my ears and eyes were surgically removed while I watched this miraculas film so it would be the final lasting memory in the remainder of wreched life of the twin glories of sight and sound I could from that point on live a life of fulfillment knowing I had experienced the one thing truly worth experiecing I don't need a job I don't need a car I don't need a wife and kids or a house with a white picket fence I've got tales of the past 3 and thats all I'll ever need!"

when it's over you'll wish there was more
but hey what more do you want for nothing?

i was about to say i cant be good just because it is made in WoW.

but O.O i just saw the first one and i agree its pretty good. It has a good story

I never said it was because it was filmed in wow it was good
I thought it was a good series regardless
besides I was a fan of machinima long before I was a fan of WoW

i just finnished the last part it was really good... it somehow reminded me of DBZ

How could someone not know about machinima? It was huge for a while. I mean, Red vs. Blue was an awesome series.

nah i just didnt know there was a name for making movies in games and i know red vs blue i havent seen mutch of it but its quite funny =D
