Just as something to do,(Cause I'm bored :P) name something which you have an irrational fear, hatred, whatever of. I guess I'll start. I have an irrational hatred of wearing short sleeves and shorts.
I've never heard of one for shorts/shortsleeves...That's kinda interesting!

The being alone at night thing is new I'm not sure what triggered it. I use to take long walks around the large pond on our property and lay on the dunes stargazing up till last year.

I spend a lot of time in the woods at night, but rarely alone. I usually find myself being too jumpy when I'm alone... more for the sake of avoiding police than anything else. As for being in the open at night, no real issue I can think of.
No, sorry. I did not intend to come off that way. I was just saying that I'm jumpy about being alone in the woods at night but I haven't had an issue with open areas. As far as fears go, irrational or rational, it makes a lot of sense... wouldn't be any sense in making fun of it. Perhaps it was awkward sentencing on my part, it has certainly been an issue in the past.

I used to be pretty OK with it (the dark), then my friend got me to watch Sunshine, and I've been really jumpy about my house/bedroom being dark at night since. The family room and the sunroom especially. I get really really skittish and paranoid around them. Living alone, it might be a little justified (though it's only that area of the house). The bedroom part is amusing because I can only fall asleep in total darkness. So I end up locking doors inside my house, which probably isn't a very normal or rational thing to feel the need to do.

I hate zombie and horror film too, but I still love wolking in streets at night. It's like a magical atmosphere. Especially in old medieval district. I don't really hate insect but I prefer them more when they're under my shoe. But a day I went to a shop wich sold tarentula or mygale. The seller put one of them on my hand, it was amazing !!
I also can't bear wearing shorts. Don't ask me why...
hehe im afraid of puppets ^^ wel sometimes at least i think it has something to do whith seeing: Dead silence...... its a pretty bad movie but still puppets are scary. and i can be quite jumpy if im alone... but that depends on my mood.
well i dont hate anything i think ........

I'm... terrified of water, well, not water, but what's in the water... I can't stand going in oceans past my stomach. When i was like, 8, my parents took me to some tropical place, and we went snorkeling with a tour thing, and the guide warned us not to provoke the fish, because they are trigger fish and can cut open your stomach with the dagger like projections from their tails, yum.
So what does my dad do? Picks up a bunch of pebbles from the shore and takes it out with him, then when there are fish he puts the whole handful underneath me and swam away. Commence feeding frenzy, a whole bunch of them swam right under me, and you can see the sharp parts of their tails going, they shine in the sun, really pretty, really freaky.
Same vacation, my dad decided to take me body surfing (and remember I was 8) where you basically catch a wave and ride it like on a surfboard, but with your body for steering and stuff. That was awesome, and I loved it, except one time there was a huuuge undercurrent which swept me back and I got caught in the undertow, stuck underwater and I hit my head on a rock. Fun times.
SAME vacation, we go to a different tour thing and there are sting rays in the water, my dad puts me IN THE WATER with the wild sting rays. Basically, the tour guide said, 'don't take your feet off the sand' because if you step on a stingray, they will kill you, but I was eight, and puny, the slightest wave picked me up, and then I refused to put my feet down after that... fuuun times i tell you, fun times.
Yeah, that was a lot of text but I decided to get the description out of the way.

zombies are different in D&D I can handle them because tehy are just minis and words on paper.
yea and hit and run tactics work since they only have one action a turn =P
@kio: i wouldnt go in the water anymore if i where you. not in any open water (i already dont like open water ..... i mean i dont like being in the same water as big fish though i got over that after diving lessons partially at least im still afraid of jellyfish if they get close)

I feel like you should've kicked your dad in the balls at some point.
I think I haven't been in a natural body of water since I got caught in the riptide r-so years ago.
Yes, I agree with the kicking of the father, but I was a puny person back then and am still a puny person and I hate genetics for that. Stupid asian short gene.
Water is the craziest thing, it seems all calm and gentle, but it can kill you so easily... currents kill me, litterally
...wel...im afraid of the dark (what can be hiding in it), same goes for water, and i really hate insects and spiders and slugs...
hehe i sometimes manage to talk myself into fear of the dark ..........im okay most of the time though ..... i think i might be able to fear anything when i think to mutch about it ..... =/

All clouds.... they're up to something I can feel it... I think they're on to me too cause evertime I look out my window I see em!

I have an irrational fear of dresses, skirts, and make-up...and I'm a girl. The last time I was forced to wear a dress was actually a traumatic experience (probably made traumatic the moment I tried to hurdle over my (four foot high) bed!) My family doesn't really try to make me wear them much anymore :)
@kio - you shouldn't be afraid of the water and all that inhabit it...you should probably be more afraid of your dad!

@Doc & Mimic: clouds arent evil they protect us from the deadly rays from the sun ...... the sun is .... well not evil cuz it protects us from the freezing darkness of the universe ...... but i missed part of the mano diau concert cuz i had to go into the shade or i would have fainted ....... so now i got myself a hat to prevent that........... so hats and clouds Rock!!!!!! ^^

I could do for you a long essay about physical phenomenons but it would be too boring.Just know that a single cloud may weigh many tonnes. But they are not very dense so the "increase of Archimède" (I'm not sure of the term) keep them in the sky. They will never fall on your head like that. But they fall as rain or hail.
The biggest hailstone ever : seven inches in diameter (17.8 centimeters) and a circumference of 18.75 inches (47.6 centimeters).
wow thats a pretty big hailstone i guess that could kill ya....... =S well and i knew the other stuff about clouds ......... i never thought about how mutch they weight though.............. but i guess that mutch water must be pretty heavy.

what the hailstone killing ppl or the weight of a cloud ??
i dont think clouds are very dagerous ..... if you dont go outside in a hailstorm ...... though clouds also generate a lot of static electricity so there is also the lightning that could hit you. but anyway i like clouds. =)

The fact is that in a cloud a cube of a metre aside weighs about 750 grammes. (I won't explain in detail the calculation) And a cloud is a very big cube of many meters (or kilometers) aside.
.....
Anyway. me I really like rain. maybe because my first kiss was on a rainy day.
i sometimes like rain(when im listening to good music or there is a thunderstorm or when im inside) ..... and i really like thunderstorms thunderclouds are really beatiful specially when there is lightning =)

...i just hate the bad-weather clouds...it rains alot in Bergen...also, i don't like lightning too much either, even though it might be beautiful....my dog gets kinda panicked...once, when i sat in my livingroom, i saw a lightning bolt about 25-35 metres away...
I have a fear of holes xD Ironic for a girl that likes girls, huh?
But no, I don't know if it's actually a fear, it's just this extremely uncomfortable creeped-out feeling that I get if I see certain types of holes. Like, the air bubbles along the inside of a full mayonnaise jar, or Swiss cheese. It makes my teeth ache just thinking about it.
I'm also pretty scared of stairs which is weird because I've never really fallen down them. I just slid down them in a Rubbermaid tub once and I wasn't even hurt. I can't stand at the top of the stairs unless I have something to hold on to, and I absolutely CANNOT start going down before I grab the railing or the wall. Once I make the first few steps I'm usually fine without the railing. I'm also extremely uncomfortable when carrying things up, or standing on the steps.(The pantry in my house lines the basement steps.)

.... once me and some friends decided that rolling down stairs would be a good idea........ seems kinda stupid now ....(we had fun for a whole day)
OO i just noticed im terrified by flying isects like dragonflies and wasps.... i just had something that looked like something between a wasp and a dragonfly in my room i couldnt go in here too scary......

Haha, my sister is like that. Once, she had her window open at night and a moth got in because my cat had damaged the screen. It was 11PM and she screamed and woke me up to tell me she was scared to go into her room.
I'm usually okay with flying insects, as long as they stay out of my hair and away from my ears. When I was in middle school, I was in the library taking a state test and all of a sudden this bug dropped from the ceiling and into my hair. It took me a while to get it out, cos it was crawling under the strands (I had my hair in a ponytail.) It was huge! Like, grasshopper size. I pride myself on only freaking out a little; no one even noticed that I flailed my arms around my head for a minute.

When I was a kid, I used to have to sit on every step going up or down because I was afraid of falling. In my defense, I fell a lot. Correction, I fall a lot.
These days I'll urinate off the edge of two or three story building and run across fence railings. Not really sure when it changed.
hmm i dont mind moths just wasps and dragonflies and most other things that sting or can fly in unpredictable ways(im fine with bees though)..... well and i dont like it when butterflies land on me they are gross (not the wings but the body looks weird) and grasshoppers have weird heads somehow i always think they will bite me even if they dont ........ i got stung by wasps arround 20 times in two days once i think that might be why i am afraid of them.
i fell down the stairs only once .... well acctually there werent any stairs just the edges of the steps (i think someone was repairing them) and i didnt see so i fell down the whole way...... i dont think i was injured though
