*Sigh* Four years ago, I started going out with someone. The two of us were inseperable. We had our time together, but eventually... The love I had for her just faded... I broke up with her a few months back, but she's been begging me to go back to her after I told her just yesterday I'm going out with someone else...
She's rambles on about a lose lose situation. Either I'm going out with her or not being her friend at all. So I'm just here, wondering what the hell to do...
Answer or not... I need to rant... >< It's still going on as we speak...
I don't have much of my own advice to give so I looked out to a friendand learned he'd had a similar sort of experience--from the other side. We're known for superfluous capslock so semi-rewritten paraphrasing to follow (original text here):
<@Hitoshura [Paraphrased by Lady Twilight/Endy]> "I think it would be best to not have contact with the other girl, but they might start acting like a stalker. I've had firsthand experience, and remaining friends is not a good idea, and I wish I'd known that when I was going through it, because it took about 4-6 months to take that advice and stop acting like a stalker and I broke off all contact.
I really HATED her at first, a lot, but time went on and wounds healed, and about a year ago I was ready to talk to her again and apologized to her for being an ass. We live in different cities now but we're definitely friends, and reconciling lifted the burden off my shoulders from the experience.
The problem is that it's very difficult to get people upset like that to listen because they tend to believe with all their being that it's possible to work it out 'normally'."
So my [Back to LT] own suggestion in light of this is to make it as clear as possible to her that in her lose/lose scenarios she can try to get your friendship immediately but that it wouldn't work well in the long run, or she can try to live on separately from you for some time and you two can become friends later when the hurting hearts heal.

sit down, listen to music, drink some tea and think... thats what I do to find solutions.
which one of you wants to be friends? I assume its you from what you said, she whants you to go out with her, or not be friends at all. Am I correct? I can imagine, she cant be just friends because being arround you would hurt to mutch. I think what lady said makes sense give it some time wounds need to heal, and emotional ones heal pretty slow I think.

I think Lady and Gappiee are both correct; being around each other might be hard for her since it looks as if she is still in love with you and knowing what being with you as a couple was like, she still longs for that too much it hurts not being able to have it, especially with you being around her.
