Because for some reason, I seem to have amassed quite a following of people who like my story ideas. Thought I'd start a thread here, see if people like it enough for me to continue it here or not. Just an experiment.
My current writing project:
A girl starts feeling really cold at nights, when she's trying to study. She's having weird dreams, too, in which the same man keep spleading her to rescue her sister from the mental asylumm she's in.
Eventually, the girl- let's call her Rin- gets fed up and goes to the local gypsy. The gypsy summons another spirit, who flows inside Rin and does something strange to Rin. She falls unconscious.
When Rin wakes up, she is horrified to discover that she no longer has any pupils in her eyes. Instead, she seems to have oddly-shaped runes in her eyes.
When she goes outside, she soon figures out that the spirit did something weird to her. Instead of seeing people's faces, she's seeing what people truly look like- their true faces. Trying to figure out what's going on, she convinces her mother and father to go see her adopted sister in the mental asylum.
When she gets there, she soon discovers that the asylum workers are not what they seem. Instead, she sees them as horrific purple-skinned monsters- demons.
That night, Rin steals her father's gun and catches the bus to her sister's asylum. Carefully sneaking in, she kills some of the demons and kidnaps her sister.
After that, things get really weird.

So, what d you think? Do you want to hear more, or do you just want to forget about this topic?

Anger, Jealousy, Loneliness, these are the emotions that consume ones heart and destroy ones soul, my heart cannot soar for it is eternally wingless...
The story I described above is... think of it as the first episode in a TV show. It has a little plot in itself, but it's just setting up future episodes.
Anyway, a longer storyline appears soon after that. A couple of 'episodes' later, Rin and her adopted sister- let's call her Allie- are assaulted by a pair of men who are inhumany strong. They manage to get away from them, but are later assaulted by several more men in the same city. Scared, Rin decides to run. They don't get very far, though, when their car breaks down and they stumble into a whole new scene.
Allie is immediately scooped up by a gaint earth monster. The mmonster is made up of rock, dirt, and trees, and stands at over eighty feet tall. Rin nearly wets herself whenn she sees it, but decides to get over it and goes to rescue her sister.
She gets her ass wooped, of course; what's a five-and-a-half-foot girl with an empty gun going to do against something like that? But when the thing picks her up to look at her, Rin sees a sword stuck in the top of its' head. Sqirming, Rin manages to escape from the things' hand, and jumps onto its' head. From there, it's fairly simple to pull the sword out- at which point, the thing crumbles to pieces, and a scaly green-and-red demon shows up, demanding the sword. Rin refuses, grabs Allie's hand, and runs for it. They make it back to the car and manage to start it up again.
With that, I've introduced the two major bad guys in the story-
-The Caehlin are the men who are tryin to kidnap Allie. Allie is the only woman left alive who can bear their children, as there is a limiter in place- only somebody with a certain amount of Sidhe blood can br their children.
If the last of the Caehlin people dies, then Fenrir will be released. He was sealed by the first group of Caehlin, and his seal will exist as long as a Caehlin exists. If Fenrir is ever released, then it's pretty much apocalypse.
Too bad for them, though- Allie is arrhenphobic- that is, she is literally afraid of men. She refuses to consent to having sex with a man; and as such, if the Caehlin want her to get pregnant, then they're going to have to... Well, you get the idea. Artificial insemination won't even work, because there's a chance it might develop into a boy. But they need Allie to get pregnant, or everyone dies. So, they have no choice.
-The demons want their damned sword back. That sword is like a crown- using it is like declaring yourself king. One of the current Kings needs their sword, because his kingdom is falling to pieces without the sword.
But Rin needs the sword... It's her only effective weapon aainst the Caehlin.

I'm good at that. Making things interesting, that it.
Rin would actually be the 'bad guy' of the series, if the viewpoint was on anyone else. Seriously, think about; she is practically dooming hmanity in the long run, when the last Caehlin dies. And that's only if the demons who want the sword don't decide to set another monster free to kill everyone, which would make it that much easier to get the sword back.
Really, if the world ends at this point, it's probably Rin's fault...
...but then again, Allie's not complaining.

Kate is an Archangel. She's slightly stronger, faster, tougher than regular humans. Also, her wings are made of a completely invulnerable material. She can summon a sword that's more than two feet bigger than her.
Veritas is the daughter of a Fiend, the most cunning and powerful Demons. She can teleport between dimensions, essentially rendering herself immune to being harmed. Also, she can summon two sai made of solid air.
Kate's sister was killed by a demon. She has made it her mission to exterminate the demons.
Veritas' boyfriend was early killed by an Archangel. She has been hired to kill that selfsame Archangel.
Kate has a deep, unabiding hatred of all demons. However, a geass has been placed on her, preventing her from harming any demons that she does not explicitly believe has dark intentions.
Veritas grew up in the courts. She has mastered the skills of manipulation and scheming.
What happens when the two are forced to ally with each other?
Nothing good, that's what.

No, it's a very... dark story, for lack of a better word.
Veritas is a manipulative assassin. She manipulates people pretty much for the hell of it, most of the time. She can't help but upset her established relationships- even violently. She lives for the thrill- the thrill of the kill, the thrill of court intrigue, the thrill of danger, whatever.
Kate is a killer. She has a... need, a drive, to kill. People I've showed this character's concept to have told me she gives off a Dexter-like vibe; she kills, she wants the kill, she needs the kill. But in order for her to kill, she has to be able to justify it to herself- to convince her that the demon did, in fact, have dark intentions. It's easy for her at the start of the story, when she believes them to be Always Chaotic Evil (Ha! TVTropes reference! Look it up!), but not so much later in the story, when she learns that demons are, well, people.
They're thrown together because people try to kill them. People are manipulating them, dragging them into their schemes. If the two don't team up, they'll die. That doesn't mean they like each other, though.

... it still sounds like it could be really funny to me i mean ppl/mythical creatures that have weird personalities always are good for funny situations ^^ and the demons are always chaotic evil ..... its D&D =/ there demons are chaotic evil and devils are lawful evil........... hmm they have really interesting backgrounds in D&D btw.
hmm guess dark could work as well ...... and which Dexter? im assuming you dont mean the cartoon character? ooh isnt there a tv show called that? havent seen that though.
